From a map idea to a connected economy
The early versions focused mainly on resources and mines placed on the real map. Step by step, that idea grew into a connected economy.
Industry GO now includes mines, factories, power plants, storage, a market and agriculture. Loans, leaderboards, achievements, profiles, chat and alliances add further ways to play.
Development through many smaller steps
The current archive documents 29 updates from June 18 through August 31. Some introduced larger systems such as agriculture or alliances. Others focused on mine details, map controls, the market, repairs, translations and leaderboards.
Those smaller changes matter. Industry GO should remain easy to use even when a company has many buildings, work reliably across different devices and clearly show the result of each action.
What matters next
The next steps are not limited to adding features. Existing areas should become faster, more stable and easier to understand. This is especially important for large companies, dense map areas and workflows that currently require too many separate actions.
For now, the focus is on stability, performance and clearer workflows in the existing systems.
Campus and employees
One larger feature currently in preparation is a campus with employees. The plan includes different skills, ongoing wages and supply costs, plus decisions that develop both employees and the campus.
Employees should later be able to take part in expeditions. This system will be tested thoroughly first because it needs to fit the existing economy without bypassing established cost or production rules. There is no fixed release date yet.
More cooperation and useful things to do at home
Shared projects are one possible direction being considered for alliances. No specific features or dates have been decided.
More ways to play from home are also being considered. The details have not been decided yet.
More insight into development
Future reports should do more than list changes. They should explain why decisions are made, how the game’s balance changes and which topics appear most often in player feedback.
Plans can change during development. New systems will therefore be given a release date only when their scope and technical foundation are dependable. Until then, these reports will describe the current state as clearly as possible.
